Privacy Policy

SingleAnalytics Inc. ("SingleAnalytics", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the SingleAnalytics platform, website, APIs, and related services (the "Service").

This policy applies to two categories of individuals: (1) Customers: people who create an account and use the SingleAnalytics dashboard, and (2) End Users: visitors of websites and applications that use the SingleAnalytics tracking SDK.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Customer Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name and email address: used for account authentication, communication, and billing.
  • Organization name: used to identify your workspace.
  • Billing information: payment details are processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage data: how you interact with the dashboard (features used, pages visited) to improve our product.

1.2 End User Analytics Data

When your website or application uses the SingleAnalytics tracking SDK, we collect the following data from your End Users on your behalf:

  • Page views and navigation: URLs visited, referrer URLs, and page titles.
  • Session data: session duration, entry and exit pages, and page count.
  • Device information: browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and device category (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  • Geographic data: approximate location derived from IP address (country, region, city). IP addresses are not stored persistently.
  • UTM parameters and referral sources: campaign tracking data from URL parameters.
  • Custom events: event names and properties explicitly sent by your tracking implementation.
  • Web Vitals: performance metrics (LCP, FID, CLS) when enabled.

What we do not collect by default: We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from End Users unless you explicitly configure your tracking to send it. We do not use cookies for End User tracking. We do not fingerprint End Users across websites.

1.3 Contact Form Submissions

When you submit a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, message category, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: process analytics data, generate dashboards, and deliver reports.
  • Manage your account: authenticate access, process payments, and communicate about your subscription.
  • Improve the Service: analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, optimize performance, and develop new features.
  • Provide support: respond to your questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance.
  • Ensure security: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests from authorities and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use your analytics data to train machine learning models. We do not combine data across different customers.

3. Data Processing and Storage

3.1 Data Processor Role

For End User analytics data, SingleAnalytics acts as a Data Processor on your behalf. You remain the Data Controller responsible for ensuring that your collection of End User data complies with applicable privacy laws.

3.2 Storage and Security

Customer Data is stored in SOC 2 aligned cloud infrastructure with:

  • Encryption at rest using AES-256.
  • Encryption in transit using TLS 1.3.
  • Role-based access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only.
  • Regular security assessments and automated vulnerability scanning.

3.3 Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to your plan:

  • Free plan: 30 days
  • Starter plan: 6 months
  • Growth plan: 1 year
  • Scale plan: configurable, up to unlimited

Account information is retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after termination. After the retention period, data is permanently deleted from our systems, including backups, within 30 days.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Payment processing: Stripe processes your payment information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Infrastructure providers: cloud hosting providers that process data on our behalf under Data Processing Agreements.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or governmental request, we may disclose data as necessary. We will notify you when legally permitted.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not share, sell, or disclose Customer Data or End User analytics data to any other third parties.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5.1 Our Website (singleanalytics.com)

Our website uses essential cookies for functionality (session management, security) and our own analytics for product improvement. We do not use third-party advertising or remarketing cookies.

5.2 The Analytics SDK

The SingleAnalytics tracking SDK is designed to work without cookies. It does not set cookies on your End Users' browsers, does not use local storage for tracking, and does not fingerprint users across websites. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

6.1 All Customers

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Export: download your data in CSV or JSON format at any time via the dashboard or API.

6.2 European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you additionally have the right to:

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Request restriction of processing.
  • Data portability in a machine-readable format.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.

Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (product improvement and security), and consent (where applicable). A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available for all plans upon request.

6.3 California (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information. Note: we do not sell personal information.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

7. End User Data Rights

As the Data Controller of your End User data, you are responsible for responding to data subject requests from your End Users. SingleAnalytics provides tools in the dashboard to help you:

  • Look up data associated with a specific user.
  • Export user-level data.
  • Delete user-level data upon request.

Deletion requests are processed immediately and are irreversible.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Our primary data centers are located in the United States and European Union. If you access the Service from outside these regions, your data may be transferred to and processed in these locations. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers from the EEA.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance via email or a prominent notice in the Service. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
